The disconnector GW4-40.5,126,145,252 is a high-voltage disconnector of an open installation for alternating current networks from METTZ Group.

The disconnector of the GW4 series is an outdoor switching device designed to turn on and off de-energized sections of industrial AC electric circuits with a rated voltage of 35-220 kV with the creation of a visible gap, as well as grounding of disconnected sections using stationary grounding conductors. The disconnector complies with the requirements of IEC IEC 62271-102.

Design features

The high-voltage disconnector of the GW4 series is a two-column horizontal and rotary disconnector of external installation.

When turned on, two speakers simultaneously turn inward. When disconnected, the speakers simultaneously turn outward, stop 90 °, forming a visible gap. When the earthing switch is turned on, the grounding knife moves up. The movable contact moves up and engages with the fixed contact, which completes the switching operation. The shutdown process is the opposite.

The conductive part of the main knife is made of aluminum alloy.
