Description
The SHF-20 porcelain transmission line insulator is a high-voltage pin-type insulator designed for use in 20kV overhead transmission and distribution networks. Manufactured from high-strength electrical porcelain, the SHF-20 provides reliable electrical insulation and mechanical support for conductors mounted on poles and towers in medium-voltage power systems.
Widely used in industrial infrastructure, substations, and utility grids, SHF-20 insulators are valued for their durability, weather resistance, and proven long-term performance under harsh environmental conditions.
Porcelain pin insulators SHF-20-G and SHF-20-G1 are designed for insulated fastening of wires to transmission line supports and supporting structures of substation switchgear with voltage up to 20 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz.
Mounting of SHF-20-G and SHF-20-G1 insulators is carried out on pins or hooks using polymer caps of type K. Pin insulators SHF-20-G and SHF-20-G1 are supplied both without caps and complete with caps (at customer’s request). Insulator SHF-20-G1 is supplied complete with a plastic sleeve (gutter). The design of the «eared» insulator SHF-20 (SHF-20-G1) allows for the installation of SIP wire on overhead power lines without the use of rolling rollers due to the presence of «ears» forming a boat (trough) and a plastic sleeve located in it. Plastic sleeves of pin insulators are made of plastic resistant to atmospheric influences throughout the entire service life of the SHF-20 pin insulators.
Insulators SHF-20-G and SHF-20-G1 are intended for use at ambient temperatures from minus 60 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.
