Design features

The MFKW18Z-12 (Z) high-voltage programmable external alternating current switch is designed for ring power networks and can perform coordinated actions according to the transmitted data or independently. It is combined with a programmable controller that has low power consumption, full isolation, is protected from dust and moisture.

The redundant power supply can provide normal operation for up to 24 hours after disconnecting the AC power.

The front panel with clear display simplifies programming;

The data transfer protocol supports various transmission modes — over optical fiber, over wire and over the air; through communication with the DMS system, you can implement the «four remote» functions.

After turning off the AC power, it can switch another 50 times, a rechargeable battery powers the 24 V DC motor.

Main functions

1. Network Recovery:

In data transfer mode, the programmable controller is responsible for detecting an accident, taking measurements, and the master station is responsible for determining the position of the accident, shutting down the emergency section, and restoring the power supply.

The programmable controller transmits information about the operating status of the line, the status of the switch and performs various actions according to the commands received from the master station. In the absence of a data transfer mode after an accident occurs in the network, it can automatically, without outside interference, perform the functions of disabling the emergency section through the use of a distributed programmable system.

The following functions are available: Opening without voltage with a time delay, Opening without voltage with a time delay, Fixing an open state after N cases of overcurrent, Fixing an open position due to overcurrent after a delay of T without voltage, Closing with a delay after turning on the power , Closing before an accident and fixing an open state, automatically changing the settings of functions after a successful circuit. 2. Compatibility with sectionalized:

The switch is compatible with a conventional sectionalized with current pulse counting, with a sectionalized with voltage-time re-activation. It can perform the functions of such sectionalized disconnectors with the appropriate configuration by the user.

3. Dimensions:

Measure voltage, current, harmonic level, power factor, active power, reactive power, frequency and record all types of operating data and events.

4. Telematics:

It can realize the «four remote» functions, namely, tele control, tele monitoring, telecommunications and tele-regulation. The controller is equipped with two data interfaces and a standard tele control data transmission protocol, CPS2179, DN3.0, IEC870-5, these protocols are supported for various transmission channels, for example, for optical fiber cable, for wire, for radio channel, etc.
