The starter is a flameproof rectangular enclosure containing an input, output and hardware compartments, 4 cable input devices and a mechanical interlock.

In the hardware compartment there is a power panel on which 2 contactors, a disconnector, a voltage transformer, fuses, a Stop button switch, current sensors and intermediate relays are installed.

The mechanical interlock of the disconnector with the cover ensures the safety of starter servicing in operating conditions.

The starter provides operation in continuous, intermittent, continuous and intermittent modes.

The mechanical wear resistance of the starter is at least 3 · 106 cycles of on-off (VO), the disconnector is not less than 6300 cycles VO.

The starter design provides three cable entries for control circuits and five for power circuits.

Devices for connecting input power cables are designed to connect both flexible and armored cables.
