Vacuum circuit breakers MZW43-12 three-phase high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker, for outdoor installation, designed for switching electrical circuits under normal and emergency conditions in three-phase alternating current networks with a frequency of 50 Hz with a rated voltage of up to 10 kV. Execution options: in the painted steel or in the stainless case.

The switch can be used in substations, industrial and mining enterprises, urban and rural energy networks for protection and control, in places of frequent switching and in urban automatic distribution networks.

The principle of operation of the switch MZW43-12

The MZW43-12 model of a high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker is characterized by the presence of a vacuum arcing chamber and an insulator in the form of an epoxy compound. The principle of operation of the switch is based on the extinction of the electric arc that occurs when the contacts are opened in a vacuum, and the current through the vacuum chamber passes only in a short period of time when performing on and off operations. The high dielectric strength of the vacuum gap ensures reliable arc extinction. In the on position, the rated current and short circuit currents pass through the main contacts, in the off state position, the main contacts open, forming a visible gap.

Since switching processes occur inside the vacuum chambers, the circuit breaker does not forms emissions of products of burning the arc, both during shutdown and when turned on.

Due to the use of a longitudinal magnetic field to control the occurrence of an electric arc in a vacuum, the vacuum circuit breaker has good performance in terms of reliability and switching resource.
